The deal saw Nick Toons in figure form from 1995 until 2001.This line of Real Monsters figures was a 11 figure assortment of only one series. Included in the lonely series of monsters was The Gromble, Krumm, Ickis, Oblina, Sproink & Groink, Scarfer, Werfel, Kaluga, Haluga, Poomps, and Splug.
While all figures can be considered rare at this point, the most valuable are the primary characters of Krumm, Oblina, Ickis, and The Gromble.

Released in 2001, this short run of Rocket Power Rev-Up Figures by Mattel were based on the x-treme kids animated show. Rocket Power Figures suggested retail price was $2.99 (according to a KB Toys sticker found recently on some items). One boxed playset was made of a skate park.It appears that Rocket Power and Jimmy Neutron were the final 2 lines under the licensing agreement with Mattel and Viacom's Nickelodeon. One must wonder if the line was cancelled after initial shipments, as it wouldn't make any sense to release only a couple characters from the show.

In the mid-1990's Mattel acquired the license to produce Nickelodeon Toys and Figures. Rugrats figures and toys began production in 1997 and its packaging featured a Mattel branded logo on the back of packaging while also displaying "By ArcoToys, a Mattel Company."Rugrats (1997-2000) by Mattel featured all the main characters from the hit kid's television show as well as the 1998 Rugrats Movie. The line can be separated from the 3" figures with limited articulation and plush figures about the same size that included removable clothing and accessories.

Mattel took over the license to produce WWE action figures in January 2010, ending Jakks Pacific’s 14 year run as the creator and distributor of WWE Toys. One of the more successful lines Jakks produced were the Classic Superstars line, which had seen a large portion of wrestling’s stars from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Hoping to pick up where the Classic Superstar line had left off, Mattel tried to start hot with collectors. How would they entice collectors to make the jump from their large Classic Superstars collections into collecting a completely new line of Legends figures? Their answer was the WWE Legends Line (2010-2011) in Elite figure form.Designers at Mattel took a different approach. Obviously, the figures. They were released in Elite style, which meant extra articulation, better scaling, and better detail. Instead of re-releasing Legends in attires that had been made in the CS assortments, Mattel found a different way with their Legends figures. Legends Series 1 included Animal and Hawk in their NWA attires, Dusty Rhodes in the WWF polka dots, Slaughter in his AWA attire, Steve Austin with cloth shirt & vest, and Ricky Steamboat. This was a great strategy, with the exception of Dusty Rhodes, these attires hadn’t been effectively done by Jakks.
More exclusives would follow, but first at Toys R Us, where they had their own line of Legends 2 Packs. The Bushwhackers, Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff, Bob Orton & Roddy Piper were included in the first series. For whatever reason, these were not a hit and were quickly on clearance. A cancelled series 2 was planned to include The Rockers, and The Von Erich’s, but low sales halted those plans. While some collectors were thrilled with the new selection, collectors were burnt out and did not want to invest in buying a new style of figures when the previous line had been so encompassing.
The line began to lose steam. Series 6 was the final series produced. It included Eddie Guerrero, 2 versions of Kerry Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich, and The Ultimate Warrior.
Series 7 of the Legends line was cancelled. It was going to include Andre the Giant, Diamond Dallas Page, Magnum TA, Arn Anderson, and Steve Austin. Not long after the line was cancelled, a poll was offered to collectors to see which figures they would like in Matty Collector’s Exclusive Shop. Exclusive to Mattyshop.com, these figures were released from November 2011 to September 2012. Included were Andre the Giant, Diamond Dallas Page, The Rockers, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and King Kong Bundy. This would end the Legends line of figures, however classic legends style figures would still be available to collectors throughout the main Elite line.
Following the demise of the Legends line, the demand increased and figures sold for double-triple their retail prices. With demand high once again, Mattel began to distribute Legends figures in normal Elite series as "Flashbacks," beginning in 2012 with Kane and Papa Shango in Elite Series 12. The line is going to return in mid 2020.

Mattel WWE Elite Figures pick up where Jakks Deluxe Aggression figures left off in terms of play-ability. Starting in 2010 after the demise of the Jakks-WWE relationship, the Elite figures assortments started off on the right foot. They didnt release a ton of John Cena figures right off the bat, allowing some room for less-household name wrestlers.Starting at the price point of $15.99, these figures now have a retail price of $19.99 and even higher in 2018. These have more articulation than the Mattel Basic figures, including articulation in the ab and thigh. Elite figures often are released with tons of detail or an accessory for wrestlers with boring wrestling gear. Also new to 2018, assortments released are beginning to include interchangeable hands and heads. Generally new assortments are released every 2 months.
Now with over 60 assortments released and a new series every two months, Mattel's WWE Elite line has by far the most comprehensive catalog of current and past superstars.

In 2016 Mattel's designers looked back to the past with these Retro Series exclusive figures! Series 1 and 2 were exclusive to Wal-Mart stores, but since can be found virtually everywhere at retail. They have the appearance both in carding and figure style of the Hasbro WWF Figures of the 1990s!Jump backwards as Mattel helps collectors fill in the blanks of their vintage Hasbro WWF collections, releasing characters never seen in this styling! Now you can have Goldberg, Steve Austin, Kane, The Rock, and current day wrestlers like the New Day in this vintage figure form!
Wrestling lines are known for having unreleased action figures. WWE Retros are no exception:

The first line up included Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, John Cena, appearing to those who could find them at Walmart in December 2016 (right after Christmas). Two figures to appear several months later, though they were shown on the back of the packaging: The Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior!
Series 1 carding variant: Roman Reigns' packaging would show 'Super Punch' (more common) and 'Superman Punch' (more rare)
WWE Retro Series 02
Retros Series 2 included The Rock, Triple H, Kane, Steve Austin, Sting, and Mankind in what felt like a perfect ode to the late 90s!
WWE Retro Series 03
Retros Series 3 were available at most retail stores, including Toys R Us before they went extinct in the US. Bill Goldberg, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and AJ Styles were included in this series! While the original first two series retailed for $9.99, these sets were found in the wild for $12.99, justified by the inclusion of the WWE Mayhem App and figure stands!

WWE Retro Series 04
Retros Series 4 included Ric Flair, Demon Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens. Another figure paired with stand to work with the WWE Mayhem App on google and apple stores.
Unreleased: Enzo Amore was planned to be the fourth figure in this assortment, but was replaced by Kevin Owens.
WWE Retro Series 05
Series 5 included all three members of the New Day: Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E, as well as 1997 era Macho Man Randy Savage!
Carding Variant: Macho Man Randy Savage with his arms down, as well as a version of him with one arm up/one arm down.
WWE Retro Series 06
WWE Retros Series 6 included Bray Wyatt, Sting (Wolfpac), Shinsuke Nakamura, Daniel Bryan.
WWE Retro Series 07
Back on blue bordered carding: Sheamus, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho. This set did not include the stands like Series 3-6, but still included the QR code for the Mayhem App.
WWE Retro Series 08
Series 8 included Braun Strowman, Iron Sheik, Jeff Hardy, and Zack Ryder. While released in 2018, this set especially can still be found at Five Below stores into 2021.
WWE Retro Series 09
WWE Retros Series 9 included Goldust, Randy Orton, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe was originally shown at one event in red/black instead of green/black.
WWE Retro Series 10
Retro Series 10 was the final series of hasbro styled old school lookin' figures. Included were Diesel, Elias, Junkyard Dog, and Matt Hardy. Like the final Hasbro WWF set, WWE Retros Series 10 was very difficult to find at retail.

Mattel Creations would offer a kickstarter in 2021 allowing customer to participate in a crowd funding to back an Ultimate Ring Playset with Diesel and Doink the Clown. When it appeared that the ring wouldn't reach the threshold to be produced, Mattel announced a third figure as a pre-order bonus.
